Program Guidelines

Kids are given a maximum of one hour to use their blocks & selected items to build a project that is in some way related to the construction industry. Items used include:

  1. 100 Interlocking Blocks
  2. Small Rock
  3. String
  4. Foil
  5. Poster Board

Once completed, judges will interview participants about the project asking questions like:

  • Why did you choose to build this project?
  • What do you like about it?
  • Is there anything you would change?
  • How will it be used?

Projects are scored on oral presentation, use of materials, enthusiasm, attention to detail, creativity and reason for participation. Winning local projects will advance to a regional competition, with the chance to advance to nationals.
